Argyll Food and Drink Stake Holder Meeting

A meeting for all those involved in the food and drink sector in Argyll will be held in the Corran Halls, Oban between 10:30 am and 2:00pm on Friday the 30th May. Tea and coffee will be available from 10:30 and a soup and sandwich lunch will be provided. The meeting will bring together those directly involved in the food and drink production sectors in Argyll and also those indirectly involved in tourism, hospitality, distribution, health, voluntary and public sector. The aim of the meeting is to raise awareness of ongoing food and drink initiatives in Argyll, and to discuss opportunities and barriers and to identify actions that will allow for the further development of the sector. The meeting will begin with some brief updates on ongoing initiatives, with the main body of the meeting being devoted to a wider discussion. This discussion will be facilitated and recorded by the minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, Jim Mather. He is keen to engage with a wide range of food and drink stakeholders and to identify some clear actions to help the sector.
